So, how long do you let it brew for? Mine is anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes or even an hour, as I tend to forget that it's there as I get engrossed in whatever I'm doing. 🤦‍♂️ Yup, those long brews aren't drinkable so I throw them away and get annoyed that I've wasted a tea bag, sigh. I may not even make another, either.

We all have our own ideas about how strong a cup of tea should be. It’s one of those things we can never quite agree on. Which is to be expected when, as a nation, we get through 100 million cups of tea every day.

And surprisingly, something that tastes nice is actually good for you for once, too:
Despite this, many of us give little thought to what tea offers in terms of health.

Tea contains polyphenols – natural antioxidants that have been associated with reducing oxidative stress, supporting heart health, improving blood vessel function and promoting overall wellbeing.

But to really reap those benefits, it turns out patience is key: your tea needs time to brew properly for those antioxidants to fully develop.

each bag of Twinings says how long to steep it for. I've gotten a 44-count sampler box for Christmas and can now confidently say that I don't like any random flavor with ginger. That spice overpowers the other flavors. A little milk helps, but am now glad to have finally finished of the chai spice.

For wasting a tea bag you have angered the spirit of E II R, Queen Elizabeth the Second, and for this you have instantly lost your Britishness. 🔮

did you try to dilute the overly strong brews with more water?

No man, they were cold and lifeless! I just threw them away (and mourned the wasted tea bag).

Throw it in the microwave! Or is that anathema to the English sensibilities?
