Now Trump's pissing off billionnaires, the people with real power who wanted a puppet that they could control, so perhaps he might be out sooner than we think via impeachment? Here's hoping...

So, if Trump can't get this ceasefire deal over the line and walks away from it, then what happens to support for Ukraine? It's clear as mud.

What does that behavior pattern remind you of? To me, it screams of a temper tantrum throwing child. I think Trump hit the wall of reality that his ass couldn't carry the boasts that he was making during the election... makes him look bad so run away from it and hope people forget. The thing is, this is not Trump Steaks or Trump University.

It's funny to watch him on the hunt on who to blame his recent fiascos on so that he can try to divert it from the true cause.

That is similar to what they said about him winning in 2016 and 2024, that aside I don't think he would run again.
The ONLY way would be to get Vance or someone else to run with a vice president and then get him nominated to the Speaker of the House (3rd in line) and then expect both the President AND the Vice President to then resign to allow him another bite. And even then, he'd be prohibited because the law is very exact. You get exactly two bites. No more.
Of course, I think we have all learned to realize that Trump doesn't think the laws apply to him.

Wow, those anti-Trump rallies are really ramping up. I'm not sure how they can change anything as he has all the power, but it's going in the right direction at least. I wonder how many of those are ex Trump supporters, that's the critical thing, isn't it? This is the second rally in several weeks.

Opponents of US President Donald Trump’s administration took to the streets of communities large and small across the country on Saturday, decrying what they see as threats to the nation’s democratic ideals.

The disparate events ranged from a march through midtown Manhattan and a rally in front of the White House to a demonstration at a Massachusetts commemoration of “the shot heard ’round the world” on April 19, 1775, marking the start of the Revolutionary War 250 years ago.

David Pakman is warned not to leave the country, or he may not be allowed back in. He's a naturalised citizen so this shouldn't be happening. It's yet one more sign of an authoritarian government that Trump is creating.

Hell, they are scarfing up folks born here in the states and incarcerating them.
Harkens back to a certain historical trend of "show us your papers".

Trump's "peace deal" sucks and Ukraine shouldn't take it. Here's two reports on it with slightly different perspectives.

Yeah baby! Let's make America Great Again by killing jobs.

And this is just one of MANY impacts that are being brought to the forefront by the REAL news media instead of the FAKE (what Trump wants to call REAL news) media on Trumps so-called "genius" financial acuity.

I find it rather ironic that even some of Trumps current sycophants in his admin are saying that the current battle with China is not sustainable and there will be "adjustments". In other words.. Trump and his idiocy takes a fold and reality takes hold. But most of us folks with some knowledge of financial reality knew this... but a large segment of society in the US needed to be bitch slapped into reality.

Already strong indicators they won't. They really refuse to give up the Crimea. Now.. .if they were SUBSTANTIALLY rewarded with billions of dollars that might change. But Trump is so busy running the US finances into the gutter I would never trust any monetary promise he (or his administration) made.

Here's a great editorial, scathingly written, on exactly why what Trump is doing with the Ukraine war is so disgusting. On the upside, since the US can no longer be relied on to support Ukraine, Europe has stepped up to the plate, is actually donating more support than America and is only increasing it as time goes on. As usual, Trump's claim, like all his others, that "Zelensky has no cards to play" and hence just accept the crappy deal that he's being offered, is bullshit.

A ceasefire at this time best suits Russia.

Trump said: “I have nothing to do with Russia, but have much to do with wanting to save, on average, 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week who are dying for no reason whatsoever.” If that was his real view, then backing Ukraine with the power it needed to end the war by breaking the back of Russia’s military machine would save Ukrainian and, in the end, Russian and European lives.

Trump has adopted Russia’s terms as his own in every aspect of his so-called peace process.

Ukraine knows that. Europe knows that. His best option, now, is to walk away from his abortive talks on behalf of the Kremlin, and keep the military aid flowing. He can at least then say “I tried.” And history will be gentle over his attempts to end what he calls a “total MESS”.

This is what should be happening all over the US: people calling Trump out for the illegitimate, criminal conman / grifter defiling the office of the president that he is and working towards getting him impeached and removed. It's an uphill struggle, but it can be done and it seems that the protests are growing every day, so may one day reach critical mass. Note how upset Trump gets when he sees how low his ratings are now. After all, if he's on his second and final term, ratings shouldn't matter, right? Yet they do, because he knows that such opinion, if it becomes intense enough, has the power to eventually bring him down.

Don't forget how he's also now pissing off the very millionnaires and billionnaires that he's supposed to be helping at the cost of the ordinary person. It's these people, with all the power, that will really make a difference to help to finally get rid of him and return to a saner administration with just the "standard" corruption that one always finds.

I've talked about all this in recent posts above, so check them out if you want to know more.

Until a noticeable segment of Republicans in office get on board he's immune to being impeached successfully. We saw that in his first term.
And right now, the GOP in office still are afraid of him and his cult member followers/worshippers voting them out of office.
Once those folks start hurting financially then things will start to change as Trump will not be able to realistically blame Biden for anything as Trump now owns it.

Yeah, it will take that alright, but given the way he's hurting everybody, rich and poor, supporters and enemies alike, it might happen sooner rather than later. We can only wait and see. And hope.

For any decent chance it will rely on the mid-terms switching the dynamics in the House and the Senate and even then enough of the GOP still feeling threatened by his actions to act upon it. I doubt even now that the die-hard MAGA office holders would vote for impeachment as that is a major black mark against all of them since they have supported his some heavily on his past actions. They know that even then they would still be lumped in with him.
