It's going to get worse before it gets better.
But hey, they asked what they got for, now they can shit down and enjoy the crumbs they are being given.
Folks tried to tell them, but they bought into a cult of personality. It happens regularly with cultists, just so happens that the number of rubes was higher than it usually is with the Jim Jones type of leaders.

The anti-Trump protests are huge! That's great, but how does this force him to do anything? Woulda been so much better to not have voted him in, in the first place, wouldn't it?

This weekend, scheduled protests filled the streets in all 50 states in what were dubbed "Hands Off!" demonstrations. Flooding over 1,200 locations, thousands of protesters raised their voices to condemn the Trump administration and its actions.

It shows a growing momentum. There may even reach the point where Trump has so over-stepped the bounds of the Constitution that even his sycophants in Congress will not be able to ignore calls to remove him.

I so hope you're right.

Just imagine if he got impeached yet again, smirked about it not affecting him, but then finally got convicted! Pigs will fly, but he's so extreme that you never know.

When his actions start impacting in a negative manner on their re-election aspects for the folks in Congress that are supporting him.. them being the pigs at the feed trough that they are, they will start to turn against him. When it comes down to the actual nut-cutting.... they aren't going to want theirs snipped. 🥜 ✂️:ROFLMAO:

President Donald Trump has been publicly musing about running for a third term — now a new poll shows how he would fare in a hypothetical matchup against fellow two-term president Barack Obama.
But a new poll suggests that he might want to consider a different rival. Of 1,100 registered voters polled in the April 2 Overton Insights survey, 53 percent said they would vote for Obama and 47 percent said they would vote for Trump.

Look at that, despite Trump's true agenda now shining brightly and the incredible damage that he's doing to America and the ordinary American, plus mass protests in the street, Obama would still only win by a measly 53%. It should be more like 70-80%+ by now and increasing. What the hell is wrong with people? It's that cult of Trump again, isn't it? He can continue to do what he likes to his cult followers and they'll just continue to lap it up.

A really good explanation from BTC on how tariffs work and screw over the American consumer. Slow clap for Trump. 👏

Heck... if you had any wonder how Trump's administration "works"... this simple statement tells you ALL you need to know.
This was on his "reciprocal tariff" announcement.

“We didn’t have access to lawyers or – it was just wrote up. We wrote it up from our hearts, right? It was written from the heart, and I think it was well written too, but it was written from the heart,” Trump said afterward, describing a process driven more by impulse than mapped-out strategy.

Nope, let's not work on facts... let's work on how it makes our fuzzies feel.
In other words..... reach into your arse and pull something out and see how it works.
All I can say is... he's doing the Democrats a solid right now. If he doesn't come back to reality, I don't see a Republican majority in the House or the Senate in 2026. Hell... just watch his speech to CPAC... talk about a Prozac moment.

Trump continues to show his idiocy... and his sycophants continue to drool and play with whatever is handy.

Republicans just passed a draconian voter suppression bill. Nice, so typical of them to try and maintain power by using any trick they can. However, it might die in the senate. We'll see.

Just look at the long term damage that Trump is doing to America which will last long after he's gone - assuming he doesn't somehow manage to corruptly stay for a third term or more like he's threatening to do.

You know, visiting America was a somewhat distant* bucket list item for me, but Trump's America? I'll pass. Doubt I'll ever visit it now, unfortunately.

But despite that familiarity, this isn’t the same as last time. I actually wish it were. This time, there’s no coming back from this quickly. Whoever is elected the 48th president won’t be able to easily rebuild what Donald Trump is busy destroying. Countries can and will move on without the United States. Their firms will establish new supply chains and pursue other markets. Even if the U.S. were the ultra-dominant trading partner it used to be, the credibility of the nation’s promises, its treaties, its agreements, and even its basic rationality has evaporated in just weeks.

The first Trump administration flirted with protectionism, but nothing like what the second Trump administration is trying now. Those earlier efforts seem quaint in hindsight.

*Availability of time, money and job commitments being the main obstacles for me.

Well, this is interesting, here's a little something to show that I don't criticise Trump just for the hell of it.

Trump gave a much nicer impression to Bill Maher when he visited him personally and I do believe that. Heck, he even admitted to losing the 2020 election - finally!

Of course, it still doesn't change the fact that he's a dangerous and illegitimate president (Jan 6 especially) but it's nice to see what he's like in a different context to his public persona.

@Geffers I think you'll like this one and sit there feeling all vindicated. :p

Trumpty Dumpty can sit on that wall and say all he wants... but we all know his egg shaped ass will result in him tumbling off and getting cracked (more so than what he already is) all over.

He has about as much chance of getting a 3rd term as I do finding 30 trillion dollars tomorrow. :ROFLMAO:

There is no getting around what the l law says.... even if he wants to try to game the system and get his ball licker Vance elected and then some way turn it over to him.. won't work. The law is very solid on that. You get 2 bites at the apple in your life... you want a third... go grab some cyanide.

Let's hope you're right. With Dumpty's extreme level of corruption and influence, I wouldn't rule it out. Just look at how he gamed the system to evade justice and become president again. We can only wait and see.

Trump's medical report released: at 78, he's in rude health, lost weight and not about to drop dead anytime soon.

Damn.

Of course, given how this is Trump, we can never be sure how much of this is fabricated or exaggerated, but I have to say it does match what I see of him, especially that weight loss.

Yet one more "boom" that shows how stupid the current administration is.
You got facts to refute the points.. give it. Otherwise, go hide in the corner with your head bowed and refusing to look anyone in the fact because you realize your stupidity.

Of course, iI doubt the Trump devoted will view this as it goes against what their cult leader(s) tell them.

Here's more on that "mistake" that Donny so loves to call it. He thinks the attack is someone's fault and of course it's everyone else's but Putin or himself who are at fault. This is gross and beyond retarded. It really angers me how he victim blames Zelensky for Putin's atrocities while trying to plunder Ukraine for its natural resources / riches before offering help against Putin.

Think, this is like helping a poisoned and dying man in a desperate situation with the antidote, but before giving that antidote selflessly like one should do, you first negotiate how you can plunder this man's assets like his house, car, valuables and bank account. Only once you get that signature (in triplicate) do you then save him. Looking at it like this helps to show just how twisted and disgusting this is and it's what Trump's all about.

He wrote: “If the 2020 Presidential Election was not RIGGED, and it was, in so many ways, that horrible War would never have happened.

“President Zelenskyy and Crooked Joe Biden did an absolutely horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin. There were so many ways of preventing it from ever starting. But that is the past. Now we have to get it to STOP, AND FAST. SO SAD!”

Responding to the missile attack to reporters on Air Force One on Sunday night, Trump said: “I think it was terrible. And I was told they made a mistake. But I think it’s a horrible thing. I think the whole war is a horrible thing.”

Oh yeah, still peddling the lie that the 2020 election rigged, even after admitting to Bill Maher just the other day that it wasn't. No, Donny Dumpty, the only rigged election was your 2024 one to put an illegitimate president in power for a second time.

Trump starts coming after independent progressive YouTubers who dare to criticise him, America's Dear Leader dictator, and speak truth to power. Here, David Pakman explains how he's now in the firing line.

More on that voter suppression bill, the SAVE Act, going through Congress. It's about as bad as it gets.

So, if Trump can't get this ceasefire deal over the line and walks away from it, then what happens to support for Ukraine? It's clear as mud.

Here's a good analysis of Trump's failure to end the war in Ukraine. Just think, if Harris had won, she'd have given Ukraine even more support to finally defeat Russia and get them out of the country. Oh, and without trying to extract a pound of flesh from the country for that support in the form of a "minerals deal" that I've written about in post 1495. Instead, we have this shambles.

Painful as it is to recall at this juncture, it was not so very long ago that Donald Trump – as candidate and then as president-elect – bragged that he could end the war in Ukraine “in a day” – or, just to emphasise the spurious precision and seriousness of his outlandish claim, “within 24 hours”. Perhaps the president was speaking figuratively, after all.

Since he took power almost 100 days ago, it is fair to say that progress has been slow, and that what little has been achieved by the various rounds of peace talks – often with Ukraine cruelly absent – has not been sustained.
